  21.         This fix should please any of you having problems getting worms
  22.         running off your hard drive. This bug was noted by GALAHAD when
  23.         FLT released this awesome game. It should be noted that this is
  24.         not a cracking error, this problem also affects the original.
  25.  
  26.         The problem is actually due to a problem with the game looking
  27.         for the cd.device in DEVS: if this is not found, the game will
  28.         run with no problems. However many of us (myself and galahad
  29.         included it seems) do have such a device in devs. When such a
  30.         device is found, the game locks up on the protection screen
  31.         (probably trying to play music from the cd or something).
  32.         
  33.         This is a very simple patch which forces the game to think the
  34.         cd.device is not present in devs, and now the game appears to
  35.         run perfectly well.

  37.         To install this patch simply replace the HDWORMS file in the
  38.         worms drawer with the one in this archive. You can also replace
  39.         the file on disk one so that the game will install properly in
  40.         future.
